Banjo-Kazooie
Nintendo announced on Dec 30 information technology has no plans to release Banjo-Kazooie on the Wii U Virtual console. The game was erroneously listed on an official Nintendo release schedule before on Dec thirty, as to be released on the same day. Another game, Blast Corps, was mistakenly listed likewise. The listing stated both games would release on the Wii U virtual panel.
This is how the official Nintendo release schedule looked at 15:00 JST, Dec 30 (courtesy of Game Watch):
The game listed is Banjo and Kazooie'south Cracking Run a risk, which is the Japanese proper noun of the original N64 Banjo-Kazooie game.
Later on, the schedule was updated, with both games disappearing. Moreover, an apology explaining it was an error was added to the summit of the schedule page
Banjo-Kazooie and Nail Corps are both games developers by Rare, released on Nintendo 64. Rare is at present owned past Microsoft, releasing their games on Xbox consoles such equally Xbox Series Ten.
Banjo-Kazooie was get-go released on June 29, 1998, in Us. These days, Banjo and Kazooie are also playable in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
There'south a huge demand for a new Banjo-Kazooie game, and there's definitely a demand for Banjo-Kazooie on Switch, new or non, simply it doesn't seem like information technology'll happen. The composer of the series previously mentioned he'due south non certain if there will e'er be a new game. And nowadays in that location's the spiritual successor Yooka-Laylee.
Now, does that error means Nintendo and Microsoft has plans for a Banjo-Kazooie port or new game on Switch? Was that a calculated mistake for stealth marketing? There's no way to know. I personally doubt any of these theories, and that's probably really just a error from the people in charge. And speaking of my Unneeded Opinion: Personally, having played both Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie when they offset released, I always preferred the one-time. Then again both games are pretty different at the cease of the day, and I notice pretty weird that online word Battle Tendency to always pit both games against each other.
